大家知不知道杨天庆又出了一本书了! 名字叫《与老外聊文化中国》—--沿途英语导游话题。我看了一下感觉还可以,所以给大家介绍介绍:
它分为了Chinese Characters汉字﹑Ancient Chinese Books中国古书﹑Chinese Opera arts中国戏剧艺术﹑Ancient Chinese Architecture中国古代建筑﹑Traditional Chinese Board Games中国传统棋类﹑Social relations in China社会关系﹑Traditional Chinese Festivals中国民间传统节日﹑Tea and Tea drinking茶与饮茶等专题.
它最大的Highlight就是将与旅游相关的文化知识以问答的形式体现出来,比较实用哈.我觉得这本书对英文口试有帮助,尤其是沿途导游讲解词这块.我考试的时候就栽在沿途导游讲解上,考了224.书要是去年出就好了 我这儿摘录了两段,大家看看哈.邻里之间是什么关系？
What is the relationship between neighbors?  The neighborhood is a relatively close social unit; and in some cases, it is difficult to differentiate clearly between the work unit and the neighborhood since workers commonly live in apartments located on the grounds of their work unit. The great majority of Chinese interact frequently with neighbors since they are likely to share the same courtyard and hallway, and in older buildings they may share a common bathroom and kitchen. Even in rural areas where housing is less crowded, the relationship between neighbors remains close; and maintaining harmonious relationships among neighbors is a matter of supreme concern. If a family dispute erupts, neighbors are likely to come in to mediate. In cities, neighborhood committees find jobs for unemployed people and try to patch up severely strained families. Note: 1) dispute 争论;  2) erupt 喷出;  3) strained 紧张的 成都有许多茶馆吗？Are there many teahouses in Chengdu?There is a saying, “China has the best teahouses in the world, and Chengdu has the best teahouses in China.” When you are in Chengdu, you will see teahouses everywhere, sprawling over the sidewalks, in back-alleys and in the suburbs. They offer hot boiled water and tea snacks, and provide a comfortable setting with bamboo armchairs, low tables and sooty kettles. Some teahouses present performances, or local opera. Jasmine tea is especially popular but people who go to the teahouses are not really thirsty. They usually go there just to sip tea and chat. Elderly persons may pass their whole day there, playing games or cards. Recently some changes have taken place in downtown Chengdu teahouses. There have sprung a sort of pub-type teahouses with a pleasant interior decor. These are usually busy in the afternoon and evening, and mainly cater to young people, who come to chat or talk business. However, traditional family-type teahouses are still popular in the suburbs. On weekends, friends and families from all the walks of life go to teahouses in the beautiful countryside where they enjoy drinking tea, chatting, playing cards or dozing off in their armchairs.
